The African Centre for Meteorological Applications and Development (ACMAD), as a World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Regional Climate Centre for Africa, organized a first of its kind one day Africa Continental Climate Outlook Forum (ACCOF-01). FOCUS-Africa participated as one of the supporting projects and our coordinator made remarks during the opening session.

The purpose of this Forum is to ensure improved capacity amongst established and upcoming Regional Climate Centres to regionalize products from WMO designated Global Centres. It also aimed at providing a platform for technical discussions on drivers of continental climate and interregional interactions. Finally, it gave the chance for experts to review together the SOND 2021 seasonal climate across the continent and to produce a continental consensus climate outlook for the February to April (FMAM) 2022 period.
